America thinks we’re far way from medicare for all. In the Canadian system, a single-payer provincial system, the government covers around 70% of healthcare (source: minute 25)
Note, before you get all testy, most things are covered, from check ups to the emergency room. Root canal isn’t, nor is a huge list of things that private insurance covers. (Note 2: many European countries cover 80–90%)
